The Mi Blog notes that the new MIUI12 allows users to quickly see the permissions each app is using in real-time, making it one of the stark upgrades from MIUI 11. The app permissions section also has ‘While using the app’ and ‘Notify’ options.
Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone users are receiving the MIUI 12 update, the company has confirmed. Some users have also taken to Twitter to report the arrival of the latest update. Screenshots suggest that the new update brings along optimizations to animations on screen and a fix for notification shade in Dark Mode. The version number for the latest update for the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro is V22.214.171.124.PEIMIXM. Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro users are recommended to install the update under a good Wi-Fi connection and preferably when the phone is sufficiently charged
