You can now see the app icons towards the bottom of the app switcher, which makes it far easier to see. You can also tap and switch to any particular app far quicker access than swiping.
Along with navigation icons for recent apps, you can now access quick search through a shortcut in the app drawer. The changelog (below) mentions, it fixes general bugs too.

As added in the last update, you can also see a new “CLOSE APPS” button that replaces the old “X”.
